With more and more people being diagnosed with diabetes, it was important that there be a local online resource for diabetes information.  The San Joaquin County Medical Society stepped up with the help of Mayaco Marketing & Internet to create an extremely useful website for the program "United for Diabetes SJC."  The website is online at:  www.UniteForDiabetesSJC.org .

Program Manager, Vanessa Armendariz, along with committee members, gathered a vast array of information from education and local resources to caring for yourself or someone with diabetes.  Arrmendariz said, "Diabetes has affected my family in very personal ways.  Our goal was to provide an easy-to-use website to help local residents understand how to avoid diabetes and/or treat it if they or a family member was diagnosed with it."
